Mission Statement

The ADR Roundtable has a fourfold mission:

  1. EDUCATION
To draw on the collective experience of members and invited speakers at monthly “roundtables”  and to provide a forum for discussion of recent developments, initiatives and practices in ADR in order to improve and develop the skills of our members.
  2. SOCIAL
Through interactions at monthly meetings, to supplement and support members’ professional and personal relationships as providers of mediation and arbitration services or counsel in litigated, mediated or arbitrated cases.
  3. ENCOURAGEMENT OF ADR WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
To disseminate the highlights of “roundtable” discussions and developments in ADR practices, to encourage the appropriate use of ADR processes and techniques in resolving civil disputes, and to engage in education and advocacy on ADR issues of public significance where deemed appropriate by the membership.
  4. MARKETING
Through the ADR Roundtable website and print media, to provide a vehicle for members to communicate their skills and experience in ADR in resolving civil disputes to law firms, businesses and government leaders and the communities they serve.
